We Begin Again

Introducing a new cycle of Torah with the Disability Torah Project

Here we are, beginning a new cycle of Torah. We’ve now properly entered the new year of 5787 as the holidays—hard to believe—are behind us. I was privileged to start the year off by writing for the Disability Torah Project on Parashat Bereshit (Genesis 1:1-6:8). This piece explores the parsha itself but also the process of beginning again and the questions that new beginnings invite us to ask. I hope you enjoy!

If my writing and work has been meaningful to you, I invite you to consider becoming a paid subscriber to Contemplative Torah. Your support is what makes it possible for me to keep doing this work. If a paid subscription isn’t right for you, you can support with a one-time contribution on Ko-Fi.

Another very helpful way to support this work is to like and restack this post so more folks will find it.

Shabbat shalom and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

With gratitude,

Rabbi Lauren
